Associate - Digital Consulting

About the role

Beca Digital is growing its presence across Australia, with strong demand for senior digital consultants who can lead delivery, build trusted client relationships, and help win work, particularly across defence, water and other asset‑intensive sectors. For a 12 month parental leave cover in our Sydney office - we are seeking a Senior Digital Consultant to play a key role in shaping and delivering digital consulting services for our Australian clients. This is a senior, market‑facing role combining hands‑on delivery leadership with business development, client engagement, and contribution to the growth of Beca's digital consulting practice. You will work directly with clients to understand complex problems, shape digital opportunities, and lead the delivery of pragmatic, outcomes‑focused digital solutions. You will also manage and contribute to multi‑disciplinary teams delivering digital solutions, including business analysis, configuration, software development, data, and spatial solutions. In this key role you will:- Play an active role in winning work, including shaping opportunities, supporting bids and proposals, estimating scope and effort, and presenting digital solutions to clients Lead the delivery of digital consulting engagements for defence and other asset‑intensive clients, taking accountability for outcomes, quality, and client satisfaction Work alongside clients to define digital strategies, translate operational needs into clear requirements, and deliver solutions in secure and often complex environments Build and maintain, trusted relationships with clients, acting as a credible advisor on digital, data, and technology‑enabled change Balance delivery leadership with broader digital consulting work across water, energy, transport, and infrastructure clients Due to the nature of our defence work, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance. About you You are an experienced digital consultant who is equally comfortable leading delivery and fronting clients. You enjoy shaping opportunities, solving complex problems, and seeing solutions through from concept to implementation. Strong experience in digital consulting, with a strong track record delivering complex digital or technology‑enabled projects ideally involving data analytics, software development, and/or low code solution development Experience across the software and digital delivery lifecycle, including requirements definition, business analysis and delivery management Experience working with government clients and an understanding of the governance, security, and operating constraints of defence environments Demonstrated capability in both sales and delivery, including opportunity shaping, proposal development, and managing consulting engagements Strong consulting and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage credibly with client stakeholders Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance Why Beca Digita l At Beca Digital, you will be working closely with our engineering experts to deliver a range of services to make a real difference across communities.
