Requirements

As Associate Product Counsel, you will play a critical role in helping bring new products and features to customers while balancing innovation, customer trust, and legal risk. Key job responsibilities - Serve as lead product counsel on strategic initiatives, product launches, and commercial matters for the Alexa business - Advise product, engineering, and business teams on legal considerations and risks related to AI-powered products, voice technology, consumer devices, and digital services - Structure, draft, negotiate, and advise on complex technology, licensing, distribution, marketing, and commercial agreements - Provide practical legal guidance in a wide range of areas, including intellectual property, privacy, consumer protection, digital media, and regulatory compliance matters - Counsel teams throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and development through launch and post-launch operations, including pre-litigation disputes and inquiries - Develop creative, business-oriented solutions and strategies to mitigate legal risk while supporting innovation and growth - Support the development of scalable legal frameworks and processes that enable rapid product development while maintaining customer trust and minimizing risk - Collaborate cross-functionally with a wide variety of stakeholders, such as engineering, product management, privacy, public policy, and business development.
