About the role This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how knowledge exchange and innovation (KEI) is governed and delivered across UCL. As Knowledge Exchange Policy & Governance Officer, you will support the development and implementation of policy and governance frameworks that enable KEI activity across the institution. Working closely with the KE Policy Manager, you will help translate strategic priorities into practical policies, processes and guidance that support a culture of KEI excellence. You will also contribute to embedding consistent governance approaches across UCL. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the development, implementation and continuous improvement of KEI policies and governance frameworks Conducting research, analysis and benchmarking to inform policy development and decision-making Producing clear guidance, communications and training materials to support policy adoption Monitoring implementation and evaluating policy effectiveness and impact Coordinating engagement with stakeholders across academic and professional services teams The role offers the opportunity to contribute to cross-institutional KEI initiatives while developing expertise in policy, governance and organisational change within a leading university. Hybrid working is available, with remote working for part of the week. About you You are comfortable working with complex information and turning it into clear, practical recommendations, guidance and communications. You have strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. You will also demonstrate: Confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including senior colleagues Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across organisational boundaries A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach Confidence working in environments with evolving priorities and ambiguity Experience in policy development, governance, higher education, or innovation and enterprise environments would be advantageous.
