Organization: Pharm Inpt Staff Education Job Summary: Performs tasks within the pharmacy in direct support of the ongoing duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist with occasional guidance. Tasks performed contribute directly to the preparation and/or dispensing of a final dosage form for administration to a patient and are directly supervised by a pharmacist. Provides customer service by answering phone requests and triaging calls to the appropriate person if they cannot answer the requested information. Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control. . Position Highlights Inpatient adult pharmacy at Vanderbilt University Hospital. Must be actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy in order to be considered. Those entering P1 or P2 this fall will be considered. Every 3rd weekend both Saturday and Sunday with hours of 6:00am - 2:30pm or 2:00pm - 10:30pm. 4-hour medication history shift every other week during the academic year. Summer break includes 40-hour work weeks for 8 weeks with hours of 6:00am - 2:30pm or 2:00pm - 10:30pm. Must work 4 days during winter break, aside from designated holidays and weekends. 3 holidays/year assigned.
