Norton Rose Fulbright is hiring an IP Disputes Paralegal to join the Intellectual Property team. The ideal candidate will be efficient, multitask-oriented, independent, and a team player. The position is responsible for support lawyers engaged in IP disputes and litigation, and experience with arbitration and trial preparation/attendance is required. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Understand litigation motion practice, discovery, trial, and appellate procedures and ability to administratively manage all phases of an IP litigation case Knowledge of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods and procedures relating to infringement of IP rights Ability to read and understand technical papers including those to include patents, copyrights, and trademark secrets Assist with trial preparation, by drafting and organizing required documents and files Efficiently manage document files including correspondence, court papers, case records, and materials produced in the discovery process Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines E-filing motions and other pleadings, including after-hours filings Thorough understanding of court rules and filing requirements Experience gathering patent documents from the USPTO databases and researching technical references Online substantive research, filing, and other administrative duties, as assigned Other duties Please note this job description does not cover or contain all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
