As a Supervising Social Worker, you'll play a vital role in delivering an outstanding fostering service that champions the outcomes of Every Child Matters framework. You'll support and supervise foster carers, manage your own caseload, and ensure the highest standards of care and safeguarding for looked-after children. What will your responsibilities be? In this role, you will be, Supporting Foster Carers Recruit, assess, and support foster carers to ensure they provide safe, loving, and enriching homes. Deliver regular supervision, guidance, and training to foster carers. Help carers meet their development goals and achieve their Training, Support & Development Standards. Championing Children's Wellbeing Attend placement planning meetings and contribute to care plans. Ensure children's voices are heard and their needs are met. Support transitions to independence and contribute to Pathway Plans. Ensuring Quality and Compliance Complete assessments, reviews, and statutory checks in line with regulations. Maintain accurate records and respond promptly to safeguarding concerns. Present reports to the Fostering Panel and ensure all documentation is up to date. Collaborating and Advocating Work closely with local authorities, schools, health professionals, and other stakeholders. Participate in support groups, forums, and social events for carers and children. Promote the agency's values and uphold its strong reputation.
