Additional Information
Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCCF) enables third-party merchants to use Amazon's fulfillment and delivery network to ship orders placed through their own sales channels. With the business growing, MCCF shipping costs represent a significant and rapidly scaling cost line that requires dedicated finance ownership. We are looking for a Finance Manager to own MCCF shipping cost of goods sold (COGS) forecasting, planning, and analysis end-to-end. This role sits at the intersection of MCCF Finance, WW Operations Finance Transportation, and the Global Transportation Services (GTS) team, and owns MCCF's shipping cost story across all planning cycles. The ideal candidate is a strong financial modeler with deep understanding of cost-per-package (CPP) economics, carrier mix dynamics, and supply chain cost drivers. They are comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, building analytical frameworks from scratch, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders including WW Ops Finance, GTS, and SCOT teams. This role reports into MCCF Finance and will be a key voice in VP-level planning reviews. Key job responsibilities - Serve as the key finance partner for MCCF's shipping COGS, supporting leadership on end-to-end cost forecasting, planning, and variance analysis across a large and growing worldwide unit volume. - Own the annual, quarterly, and monthly planning processes for MCCF shipping COGS, including OP1, OP2, and Q-Guidance cycles. - Influence business decisions through effective verbal and written communication, data-driven variance analysis, and clear presentation of cost drivers, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership. - Serve as MCCF's primary point of contact for WW Ops Finance Transportation on Shipping COGS reporting and allocation methodology. - Drive month-end close deliverables including the MEC Flash, WBR, and VP-level reviews, translating shipping cost variances into clear business narratives with actionable next steps. - Identify and close structural gaps in MCCF's parallel forecasting process, building scalable tools and templates that reduce manual effort and improve consistency across planning cycles. - Support Cost to Serve (CTS) per unit tracking where shipping COGS is a key component, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives requiring integration of shipping cost assumptions. - Perform various ad hoc analyses to help MCCF and Ops Finance leaders solve business problems and understand the financial implications of operational decisions. - Thrive and deliver results in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment with competing priorities across finance, operations, and technology teams.
