Responsibilities
- In this role, you will:
- Welcome and assist patients, families, and visitors with professionalism and empathy
- Answer phone calls and respond to routine questions or direct inquiries to the appropriate team members
- Coordinate and maintain clinic schedules to support efficient patient care
- Record and transcribe physician orders accurately and timely
- Support patient registration and appointment-related activities
- Manage the patient co-pay collection process
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative team members to ensure a positive patient experience
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism

- Required Education and Experience
- Medical Office Assistant Associate's degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
- Associate's degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
- High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma, completion of an Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
- High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
- High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in customer service and successful completion of a Clinical Center Associate traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).
