About the role

Ever is building the future of auto retail. As the first AI-native auto retail platform, we are building the next $100B+ automotive business, starting with electric vehicles. Our AI-native product and operations power our full-stack auto retail business, serving EV buyers and sellers across the nation, both online and offline. As a Parts Specialist, you will be the cornerstone of our vehicle reconditioning process, responsible for the efficient and accurate management of all automotive parts inventory. This is an on-site role, based in our Orange County (Irvine) operations center. You will ensure our technicians have the right parts at the right time to keep our reconditioning turnaround times fast and our quality standards high.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Perform daily cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain the integrity of the parts inventory system.
  • Ordering: Manage the end-to-end parts ordering process, including identifying necessary parts, generating purchase orders, and tracking shipments.
  • Receiving: Inspect and accurately receive all incoming parts and materials, ensuring they match orders and meet quality specifications.
  • Allocation & Distribution: Organize, store, and allocate parts to specific work orders and technicians on a daily basis to maximize shop efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all parts transactions, including warranties, returns, and core credits.
  • Supplier Relations: Coordinate with various suppliers and vendors to manage lead times, pricing, and product availability.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to parts storage, organization, and logistics procedures.
  • Qualifications and Experience
  • Prior experience as a Parts Specialist or Parts Advisor in an automotive setting is highly preferred and ideal.
  • Strong understanding of automotive parts, terminology, and inventory control procedures.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
