JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY Metropolitan Community College's Continuing Education Division is seeking enthusiastic, experienced, and knowledgeable non-credit instructors with expertise in a variety of historical topics to provide high-quality personal enrichment opportunities for members of our community. Instructors will have opportunities to teach throughout the year and will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging, informative, and learner-centered courses that inspire lifelong learning and foster a deeper understanding of history. The ideal candidate will possess strong subject-matter expertise, effective communication skills, and a passion for adult education. Courses may cover a broad range of historical subjects, including local, national, world, cultural, political, military, and social history, and should encourage critical thinking, discussion, and meaningful engagement among learners. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated knowledge of one or more historical subject areas. Experience teaching, presenting, facilitating, or conducting educational programs for adult learners, community groups, or educational institutions. Ability to develop and deliver engaging, learner-centered instruction for diverse audiences. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
