The Program Finance Specialist supports the financial management of large-scale ICT programs and projects by delivering detailed financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The role works closely with program leaders, finance teams, and key stakeholders to ensure sound financial governance, compliance with financial policies and requirements, and informed decision-making across complex project portfolios. This role will be a 12-month fixed-term contract based on-site in Darwin, NT. What You'll Do Prepare and deliver regular financial reports, forecasts, and budget analysis for programs and projects. Develop and maintain financial models to support budget management, scenario analysis, and strategic planning. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop annual and multi-year project and program budgets. Monitor financial performance, identify risks and variances, and provide recommendations to management. Ensure compliance with relevant financial policies, funding requirements, and reporting obligations. Support continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks. Provide financial guidance to project teams and finance staff to ensure accurate cost capture and timely financial management. What You'll Bring Demonstrated experience in program or project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Strong understanding of accounting principles, including the treatment of project-related and intangible assets. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including development of complex financial models and analytical tools. Proven ability to analyse large datasets and translate financial information into meaningful insights for stakeholders. Knowledge of corporate finance, project finance appraisal, forecasting, and financial risk analysis. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting, with CPA or CA qualifications highly regarded.
