Values Here are our Company Values and we'd love to have individuals who can be a culture add to our team! Grow With Us Workstream is looking for an Operations Manager for Global Data Operations. In this role, you will lead the most critical data-gathering initiative for Workstream's robotics division. You will partner closely with the Recruiting and People Ops teams to drive high-volume participant acquisition, while taking direct ownership of the ongoing management and data output quality of hundreds of participants helping robots "learn" how to interact with the world. Your goal is to ensure we hit our weekly footage targets while maintaining compliance with data quality standards. This isn't just a standard operations role; you will be helping build the foundation for the future of robotics. You will manage a truly global operation that bridges the gap between high-volume data collection and high-level AI research. Please note that this role will initially be remote, but is expected to transition to office-based once we establish our local office. The Operations Manager will also play a key role in helping set up and operationalize the office locally. Day in the Life Team Management & Leadership Lead and mentor a large, distributed team of Video Data Contributors and potentially a small team of Team Leads or Quality Auditors. Lab Management: Oversee a physical Workstream Lab, managing office-based team members who utilize complex multi-camera wearable setups to capture high-fidelity data. Conduct weekly "Office Hours" and Q&A sessions to troubleshoot contributor issues and provide feedback on recording techniques. Monitor contributor engagement and retention, implementing strategies to reduce churn in a month-to-month contract environment. High-Volume Recruitment & Onboarding Technical Guidance: Collaborate with the Recruiting team to provide specific technical criteria for candidates, ensuring they possess the right hardware and high attention to detail. Onboarding: Partner with People Ops to facilitate a seamless transition, ensuring contributors are immediately integrated into filming and data protocols. Equipment Verification: Coordinate with Recruiting on the verification of equipment (head-straps and camera specs) to ensure every new participant is project-ready. Data Quality & Feedback Loop Quality Assurance: Lead a team of reviewers to audit footage for "usability" (hand/arm movement vs. idle activities). Continuous Improvement: Update the "Guidelines Presentation" and training materials based on common failure points in the footage (e.g., poor lighting or incorrect camera angles). Technical Troubleshooting: Act as the final escalation point for hardware compatibility issues or Google Drive upload failures. Financial & Compliance Oversight Compensation: Manage the complex tiered compensation structure and bonus payouts. Payroll Partnership: Ensure all monthly payments via Deel are accurate and submitted within payout cycles. Data Privacy: Ensure strict adherence to compliance guidelines, ensuring no personal information is captured in the uploaded data.
