About the role

At Flywire, we are transforming the way the world moves money. As a Payment Operations Associate, Pay-Ins , you will play a key role in ensuring our global payment processes run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently. This position sits at the heart of our operations function and partners closely with Payment Operations, CMT Payouts, and Customer Support teams. You will also serve as a market subject matter expert, helping to strengthen partner relationships and continuously improve processes that support our customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately match incoming payments against customer payment requests
  • Monitor and control settlements from our payment partners
  • Perform foreign exchange conversions of customer funds in line with operational guidelines
  • Proactively follow up on unresolved processing issues to ensure timely resolution
  • Liaise with both internal and external cross functional stakeholders
  • Conduct payer KYC reviews in accordance with compliance requirements
  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative feedback to drive process improvements and operational excellence
  • Here's what we are looking for:
  • Tenure: Minimum of 2 years in a similar position within the Banking and/or Payments Industry.
  • Education: BS/BA preferred
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus
  • Professional Experience: Comfortable working in a professional office environment
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a natural ability to engage with customers daily
  • Customer Focus: Strong phone etiquette and the ability to listen, understand, and resolve complex customer requests
  • Process-Oriented: Ability to build and improve processes, identify inefficiencies, and proactively manage potential risks
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Excel and familiar with online tools such as Google Apps, Salesforce, or similar platforms
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Growth Mindset: Eager to learn, adapt, and continuously improve
