Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Manager to lead and enhance the quality performance of our supplier base, ensuring all supplied materials and components meet FLSmidth's rigorous quality standards and contribute to operational excellence. Job Responsibilities** * Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality management systems and procedures in alignment with FLSmidth's global quality strategy. * Conduct supplier assessments, audits (on-site and remote), and evaluations to qualify new suppliers and monitor the performance of existing ones. * Establish and manage supplier quality agreements (SQAs) and ensure adherence to specified quality requirements, technical specifications, and regulatory standards. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers, including root cause analysis of non-conformances, implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and verification of effectiveness. * Collaborate closely with R&D, Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams to define critical quality characteristics for purchased components and materials. * Manage supplier non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure timely resolution, including disposition decisions and recovery plans. * Monitor and report on key supplier quality performance metrics (e.g., defect rates, on-time delivery, audit results) and present findings to management. * Provide training and support to suppliers on FLSmidth's quality expectations, processes, and tools. * Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex supplier quality issues and mitigate supply chain risks. * Stay informed of industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes related to supplier quality. Job Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent) or a related technical field. * Minimum of 7 years of experience in supplier quality management, quality engineering, or a related field within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment. * Proven experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments (e.g., ISO 9001 lead auditor certification is a strong plus). * Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, 8D, Lean Six Sigma). * Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives with suppliers. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. * Proficiency in English; additional language skills relevant to FLSmidth's global supplier base are a plus. * Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 30-40%). * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. * Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and quality management software is desirable.
