About the role

The Project Manager is responsible for managing, supervising and coordinating construction and capital improvement projects for various divisions. The ideal candidate provides exemplary customer service to internal customers and coordinates with contractors, consultants and other outside agencies to gather critical data, conduct negotiations, and administer contracts. Projects include renovations, additions, deferred maintenance programs, new construction, and other capital improvement projects . This person must be innovative, detail oriented, and construction-minded with strong project controls skills, such as cost estimating, preparing and tracking budgets and scheduling. Schedule: This position has the flexibility to operate on either our four-day workweek (Monday-Thursday) or five-day workweek, with remote and in-office work as needed .

Requirements

  • Min imum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related field;
  • Plus, a minimum of three years of experience in project management and/or construction management or related experience;
  • OR any combination of education and experience .
  • Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Excel, Bluebeam, Adobe

Target Hiring Salary: $81,822 - $106,369 USD AnnualCompensation will be determined based on education, experience and skills .Essential Duties:Excellent communication skills and proven ability to effectively manage and lead people, projects, budgets, and schedules, while communicating with clients, consultants, contractors and county management .Assist in drafting contract and administer the contract once executed. Ensure work and contract closeout adhere to the contract documents .Following the appropriate procurement procedures and contracting methods, provide the Purchasing Division with all information required for procurement. Provide information at Pre-bid and Pre-proposal meetings. Review proposals and bids and make recommendations .Assist in coordinating background c hecks o n contractor's employees and subcontractors as required .Process pay applications, and invoices.
