About the role

Hey there! At Vendo ( https://www.getvendo.com/), we help large organizations run their eCommerce businesses - multi-brand stores, marketplaces, and multi-tenant platforms - scenarios that don't work well on standard SaaS platforms. We're maintainers of Spree Commerce , an open-source framework based on Ruby on Rails with 13k Github stars and over 2.5 million downloads! Vendo is based on Spree and we contribute to open source daily. We're currently on the lookout for a Manual Tester to join our team! In this position, you'll play a key role in developing new features and keeping our platform running smoothly. If you're passionate about QA and agile software dev, including contributing to the wider development community through open-source projects, we'd love to hear from you! Responsibilities: Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test plans for new and existing features of the Spree platform. Define test objectives, scope, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with the team and the stakeholders. Identify, isolate, and document bugs and defects with clear, concise steps to reproduce and screenshots. Perform periodic regression and exploratory tests to ensure continuous monitoring of the performance. Ensure thorough testing across different browsers, devices, and resolutions. Proven experience as a Manual Tester, preferably in an e-commerce environment. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and CI/CD processes. Familiarity with Postman & REST/JSON API testing Familiarity with Markdown and GitHub Familiarity with AI tools and the ability to integrate them to automate your work Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira/Linear/Monday.com/etc Familiarity with Agile/Kanban methodologies Familiarity with "possum" - our secret code Experience in creating and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and user documentation. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills in English. Nice-to-Haves: Experience with performance and security testing. Previous involvement in eCommerce projects. ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications. Experience with Selenium What We Offer: A collaborative and innovative work environment.
