About the role
Grade Level (for internal use): 10 S&P Global Corporate The Role: Regional People Advisor The Team: You will join a best-in-class team of HR professionals, who work collegially and professionally across the EMEA region to collaborate and exchange domain knowledge and expertise in the field of Human Resources to provide the highest level of employee and business support. The EMEA Regional People Advisory team is a dynamic team responsible for the local implementation and operation of our global People program, practices and procedures with a focus on employee relations, performance management, retention, site management, and organizational development. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in the HR profession with room to grow and expand their knowledge in the Netherlands and Germany and across other EMEA countries. Responsibilities and Impact: Lead People Initiatives and HR Projects : Lead HR initiatives and projects across Netherlands and provide support for Germany and other EMEA countries if needed. Collaborate with people leaders, Global People Partners, Regional Partners, and site leaders to enhance HR processes and employee satisfaction. Deliver and Manage HR Service : Provide seamless HR service in collaboration with HR operations, benefits, project teams, global mobility, payroll and office management. Ensure compliance with company policies and local labor laws. Regional Guidance : Provide coaching to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Works Council partnerships : Act as a key liaison and build a strong, collaborative partnership with the Netherlands Works Council ( Ondernemingsraad ) to foster positive employee relations and support organizational alignment. Work closely with Senior Regional People Advisors to develop an understanding of Works Council in Germany and act as a secondary lead for the meetings, when required. Employment Representation : Represent the company on employment matters in collaboration with our legal department. Compliance and Risk Assessment : Understand local labor regulations to assess risks and provide guidance; stay updated on new regulations to ensure compliance. Advise on Performance Management: Guide people leaders on performance management and employee relations, evaluate risks, and support the execution of terminations when necessary.
Requirements
- Basic Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of HR experience, ideally as a Regional HR Business Partner or HR Manager
- Fluent in both English, Dutch and German
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with HRIS tools - preferably Workday.
- Experience working within diverse cultural environments.
- Experience in navigating employee relations matters and in conducting workplace investigations
- Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on quality and accuracy.
- Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and change effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in team‑based environments.
- Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in using AI tools
- Experience in covering multiple EMEA countries
- Right to Work Requirements:
- This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in Netherlands.
