Position Title: Assistant Professor, Management Time Type: Full time Position Summary and Qualifications: The Department of Management in the Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph's University invites applications for one (1) tenure-track position at the Assistant level in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources. Special consideration will be given to those candidates whose interest in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources in Management includes an emphasis on Ethics and/or Diversity. The position will be effective August 2027. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Teaching responsibilities involve a 3-3 teaching load of three-credit classes in the Fall and Spring semesters, with the opportunity for additional teaching in the summer. Undergraduate, graduate, executive and doctoral teaching can be part of a professor's teaching load. Teaching at SJU also involves student advising and contributions to the curriculum. The average class size at SJU is 25 students. In terms of research/scholarship, the Management department expects tenure-track faculty to have an active program of research. In line with the SJU Faculty Handbook and Management Department Guidelines, we expect a consistent practice of research as evidenced through working papers, conference presentations, proceedings, book chapters and journal articles. To receive tenure, we require peer/editorially reviewed articles published in or accepted by quality journals and/or book chapters in quality collections. Full-time faculty members in the Management department are expected to engage in university service. While service choices and assignments can be tailored to a faculty member's interests, the expectation is that tenure track faculty will make significant service contributions at the departmental, business school and university levels by the time they apply for tenure. Service requirements are greatly reduced in the first year of employment.
