Department/Unit: Stroke Center Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $84,783.00 - $131,414.00 The Quality Specialist is responsible for providing guidance to department managers, teams and staff in the analysis, management and improvement processes and systems of the organization using continuous quality improvement (CQI) and Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) principles. The individual is responsible for helping teams ensure a quality program is maintained throughout the organization insofar as the program requires analysis, collection, reporting and use of performance improvement material and techniques. This is accomplished through training in and applying performance improvement tools and techniques, researching and presenting evidence-based practice/literature, providing benchmarking, collection or analysis support and other duties as assigned. This position has a significant impact on the program through supporting regulatory requirements, directly managing authoritative clinical registries, and participating in performance improvement initiatives. The Stroke Quality Specialist is responsible for the following: - Patient list management and validation - Concurrent chart reviews and feedback - TNK/MER reviews and dissemination - Any auditing for regulatory purposes (we have backed off on cleviprex audits - Exception reporting/abstraction management - M&M/Datix reviews - Quality improvement - pulling measures - identifying fallouts - researching fallouts - data correction in registry, coding - repulling measures - Press Ganey data pull - Vizient mortality data pull - preparing presentation - stroke mimic case entry - i67 cases entry - Managing issues/concerns that come out of QIT - Slicer dicer data pull for all of the aneurysm procedure codes and identification of any other aneurysm repair patients that don't fall into the list - Quality committee preparation (scorecard) - DNV preparedness and survey response/work - AHA updates/webinars - Assistance with staff education - TNK Workgroup preparation - Stroke team discussions and planning - Community events (Blood pressure tables, community education) Thank you for your interest in Albany Med Health System!
