About the role
We are looking for a Junior / Medior Innovation Consultant to strengthen our Life Sciences & Health team in the Netherlands. In this role, you will support innovative companies, research organizations, universities, hospitals, and startups in securing Dutch and European funding for impactful innovation projects. This includes programmes such as Horizon Europe, EU4Health, IHI, Eurostars, NWO/NWA-ORC, ZonMW, and Health~Holland. You will work on topics such as biotech, medtech, digital health, therapeutics, diagnostics, and healthcare innovation. Together with colleagues and clients, you will contribute to the development of high-quality funding proposals, innovation strategies, and collaborative R&D projects. In addition, you will support clients throughout the lifecycle of funded projects by advising on project management activities such as stakeholder coordination, reporting, compliance, and financial monitoring, as well as the exploitation of project results. We are looking for a consultant with strong writing skills, a structured way of working, and the motivation to grow within an international innovation consultancy environment. Your mission is to help innovative Life Sciences & Health organizations turn strong ideas into successful innovation projects and funding applications. You will contribute to proposal development, project coordination, and client support while building expertise in innovation funding and consultancy. Support the preparation and writing of Dutch and European funding proposals, translating scientific, technical, and business information into clear and convincing proposal content Manage timelines and contribute to high-quality proposal submissions under tight deadlines Support the coordination of collaborative innovation projects and multi-stakeholder applications Conduct research on funding opportunities, market trends, and innovation ecosystems Define project plans, impact strategies, work packages, and budgets together with clients Support clients with the implementation and management of funded innovation projects Collaborate closely with colleagues across different teams and disciplines Contribute to knowledge sharing, service improvement, and long-term client relationships Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Health Sciences, MedTech, Pharmacy, or a related field 1-5 years of relevant experience in consulting, grant writing, innovation support, research valorization, or project coordination Excellent Dutch and English communication skills, both written and spoken Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills Affinity with innovation funding and healthcare innovation Proactive, delivery-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines Collaborative, coachable, and motivated to grow in a consulting environment Commercial awareness and interest in innovation ecosystems and public funding Work on impactful innovation projects in Life Sciences & Health Join an international and collaborative innovation consultancy Learn from experienced consultants and sector specialists Clear development path with strong coaching and growth opportunities Hybrid working model with flexibility between home and office Competitive salary package (€3,200 - €4,400 gross/month depending on experience) and performance-based bonus Pension scheme, holiday allowance, and additional employee benefits Open, entrepreneurial, supportive, and impact-driven team culture
