Job Description: Duration: Fixed-term contract until the end of the clinical year (31 January 2027) The primary purpose of the role is to provide effective clinical management of surgical patients in the clinical Eastern and Greater Southern Surgical Skills Network. Unaccredited Trainee rotations will be based at St Vincent's Hospitals and occur at the following hospitals: Trauma Surgery/Acute Surgical Unit, SVH Cardiothoracic Surgery, SVH General Surgery Nights/Relief, SVH (in St Vincent's Network hospitals and SET trainee relief as required in the Eastern General Surgery SET Network) General Surgery, Goulburn Base Hospital Medical Officers will work under an appropriate level of supervision according to their level of competence to evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages presenting in any condition. St Vincent's Health Network Sydney (SVHN) forms part of the NSW region of St Vincent's Health Australia which is the largest diversified health care organisation within Australia's not for profit and Catholic health care sectors.
