This role looks holistically across systems and portfolios with a long-term strategic outlook, acting as the principal architectural authority for our application landscape. You will serve as a trusted advisor and mentor for over 10+ Salesforce professionals across the enterprise, guiding product squads, managing strategic technical debt, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, high-performance solutions that align with our strategic objectives. Reports to: Director, Enterprise Architecture Services Job Location: Hybrid (2-3 days in office) - based in Toronto, ON. Key Accountabilities Enterprise Solutioning & Salesforce Leadership Architecture Center of Excellence: Define and establish solution architecture practices, guiding program architects to design Salesforce ecosystem-based solutions in alignment with the enterprise vision. Reference Architecture & Standards: Lead the development and rollout of Technology Standards and our Reference Architecture (ABB) to standardize delivery. Salesforce Strategy: Build and maintain the future-state architecture for Salesforce, establishing reusable frameworks and design patterns. Governance & Roadmaps: Actively participate in EA Governance touchpoints (IRB, ARB) and collaborate with business lines to build multi-year Salesforce roadmaps and maintain backlogs. AWS Infrastructure & Risk Management Cloud Ecosystems: Lead complex governance structures to transition critical systems to AWS hybrid cloud ecosystems. Core Standards: Drive the definition and enforcement of enterprise-wide Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Data Management Standards across all infrastructure environments. Technical Debt: Partner with the Application Portfolio Management (APAM) function to actively manage, rationalize, and reduce strategic technical debt. M&A Integration: Supervise the technical integration of new M&A tenants into enterprise Salesforce tenants and broader infrastructure environments. Application Modernization & Integration Integration Excellence: Champion integration as a core technical capability, leading the rollout of formal Integration Standards and API-led strategies (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Streaming). Platform Engineering: Lead the architecture of complex data integration platforms and messaging systems (MuleSoft, Kafka, Solace) to scale capacity. Resiliency & Performance: Design for operational resiliency, ensuring high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) for mission-critical trading and enterprise systems. Analytics Design: Collaborate with the Enterprise Data Exchange (data lake) team to deliver advanced analytics and AI-driven capabilities. Mentorship & Professional Development Team Coaching: Coach and direct work tasks for Salesforce professionals across the business, providing guidance on technical specifications and acceptance criteria. Technical Excellence: Mentor teams to drive user adoption, client satisfaction, and overall platform excellence. Qualifications & Experience Professional Experience Leadership Tenure: At least 10 years of progressive experience in IT, with 5+ years in senior leadership or principal architecture roles. Salesforce Domain: Minimum 5 years of experience architecting complex Salesforce environments and successfully delivering enterprise roadmaps. Industry Experience: Proven experience in global financial services or a similarly regulated industry, preferably capital markets. Modernization Success: Demonstrated experience leading large-scale technology transformations, such as legacy-to-cloud modernization or data center consolidations. Technical Expertise Cloud Provider: Extensive experience in AWS (Amazon Web Services), including advanced cloud architecture credentials and hands-on IaaS management. Software Engineering: Strong foundation in software engineering and core programming languages such as C, C++, or Java. Salesforce Certifications (Minimum): Salesforce Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, and Platform App Builder.
