About the role
The Family/Intake Therapist will provide intake assessments to determine appropriate level of care and treatment. Provides family assessments, family therapy, crisis intervention, and telephone triage for psychiatric inpatients, PHP, ER, and discharged patients. Participates in group therapy, multi-disciplinary treatment, diagnostic conferences, and diagnostic interviews. Provides case management services for all patients. Manages patients mental health benefits, and keeps informed of all information regarding the patients treatment and their payor. Available for Intake on-call on as needed basis. Hours: Monday& Fridays 8:45am-5:15pm and Sat & Sun 9am-5:30pm Education/Experience: Master's level in Social Work, Counseling or related field. Experience in family therapy. Experience working in Hospital or Pediatric setting preferred. Education in Child growth and development required. Behavioral Health experience. Certification/Licensure: LMSW, LCSW or LPC Licensed in the state of Texas Qualified as a QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) by the Texas Department of Health. CPR Heartsaver CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
