HGV Driver / Loader

About the role

As an HGV Driver / Loader at FCC Environment, you will carry out waste and recycling collections across the district, ensuring a safe, efficient and high-quality service. This is a practical role where, alongside driving, you will also be responsible for loading bags and bins onto the vehicle as part of your daily duties. You'll work as part of a team, supporting collection rounds and operating as either a driver or loader, depending on operational requirements. Experience & Competencies - Valid Cat C or 7.5T licence and digital tachograph card - Completed 35 hours of Driver CPC - Ability to communicate clearly and lead a small team - Strong focus on safety, accuracy and customer service Essential Knowledge - Understanding of safe working practices and compliance Personal Attributes - Reliable and trustworthy - Courteous with the public and able to follow clear instructions - Able to use initiative and work as both driver and loader - Local knowledge beneficial (not essential) We are FCC Environment, one of the UK's leading waste and resource management companies.
