Science Lab Assistant - MOE Secondary School (JOB REF - TSTSNT-2025-02-001)

About the role

Contract Period: From 1 August 2026 to 30 November 2027(14 months) Working Hours: - Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break - Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays or off-in-lieu of the public holidays when the school is closed. - Service is not required for the entire months of June and December each year, in accordance with the school holiday period. Location : Yishun

Responsibilities

• Support daily practical and practical exams preparations
• Dispense chemicals and lay out apparatus (glassware, chemicals, safety goggles, etc)
• Collect and clear away equipment and chemicals, and other teaching materials after each practical including safely disposing of chemicals and washing of glass apparatus.
• Before the start of each term during term break: general replenishment of bench reagents.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Science Laboratory Technician.
• Job Requirements :
• Primary level qualifications (able to read and write)
• Basic knowledge in laboratory settings and chemical preparation
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience in a science laboratory.
• Team player with a positive attitude and pleasant disposition
• Good communication skills
• Able to work independently and take initiative

Role: This is a full-time, onsite, Science Teacher Assistant Role in MOE Secondary School. If you are selected, You will work closely with HOD/LH-Science and/or Admin Manager in an MOE Secondary School (nearest MRT- Yishun) in the day-to-day activities.
