About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-op to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will support the development and testing of our energy storage products while gaining hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers. You will assist the electrical team with product development activities including testing, prototyping, documentation, and design work. This is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to apply their academic knowledge to real-world hardware development in the clean energy sector. Responsibilities and Duties Assist the electrical engineering team in developing and improving energy storage products Build and maintain electrical test benches for product validation and testing Assemble and modify electrical components including wire harnessing, soldering, crimping, and circuit board assembly Support the design of PCBs and electrical harnesses for future products Develop test plans, execute testing, and write technical reports Maintain clear and organized engineering documentation Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers to ensure products meet safety, certification, and performance requirements The Student we're looking for: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline Strong preference for students with Design Team or previous co-op experience Career interest in hardware development, electronics, and energy systems Hands-on experience with soldering, circuit boards, wiring, system integration or prototyping (academic or project-based experience welcome) Basic knowledge of PCB design tools or electrical design software is helpful Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Detail-oriented with strong documentation and communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment The Experience You'll Gain: Hands-on experience developing real energy storage hardware Mentorship from experienced electrical engineers Exposure to product development, testing, and certification processes The opportunity to contribute to technology that supports the clean energy transition Moment Energy Co-op Benefits Highlights Paid Time Off: Co-op's receive three paid days off per term Vibrant Culture & Perks: Open and collaborative office culture, frequent company socials and wellness programs (weekly yoga and fitness center), and free EV charging on-site.
