Provide a supportive and effective clinical learning environment that promotes professional growth and competency development among nursing staff and students. Design, implement, and evaluate preceptorship programmes to enhance the clinical integration and support of newly recruited nursing personnel. Provide structured on-the-job training (OJT) and competency guidance for new staff, working closely with Nurse Managers to ensure clinical proficiency and safe practice. Coordinate and facilitate educational initiatives aimed at strengthening both general nursing competencies and specialty-specific clinical skills within the units. Develop, deliver, and assess unit-based and discipline-specific training programmes to support continuous professional development. Ensure nursing personnel receive comprehensive orientation, ongoing education, and competency-based training to maintain high standards of clinical practice. Support the development, implementation, and review of nursing policies, procedures, and professional standards Monitor and evaluate patient care practices to ensure compliance with established clinical standards, organisational policies, and professional guidelines Promote adherence to legal, ethical, and professional standards in patient care, applying risk management principles to minimise medico-legal concerns Conduct competency assessments and performance evaluations for nursing staff and students, providing constructive feedback and development recommendations Develop, coordinate, and deliver hospital-wide educational initiatives aligned with Ministry of Health (MOH) requirements, regulatory standards, and organisational priorities Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and recommend improvements to ensure learning outcomes and operational goals are achieved.
