The position requires the incumbent to research and select vendors to solicit quotes and issue purchase order of medium dollar value and complexity supporting USG and Non-USG contracts. Typical procurements relate to less complex build-to-print assemblies that require specifications and drawings and COTS software licenses. Discuss price, delivery and vendor/supplier capability with internal customers Researches and identifies potential vendors/suppliers Negotiates price and delivery for responsible commodities Administrates and maintains purchase orders in compliance with approved procedures Establishes and maintains good vendor relationships and satisfies internal customers Experience with purchase order file documentation that is fully compliant with all required elements to maintain a successful Contractor Purchasing Systems Review (CPSR) Partners with Supplier Quality and Shipping/Receiving as it relates to poor quality, order inconsistences and damaged products Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements High school diploma and 3-5 years experience; or BA/BS Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Operation Management or related field. Preferred Skills Teamwork Detailed Oriented Time Management Analytical thinking Good interpersonal skills MRP Knowledge, CostPoint Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to negotiate medium dollar value purchase orders with limited management oversight Ability to complete moderately complex price analysis Security Responsibilities Must comply with all company security and data protection/ usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources. Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Work Environment Work is performed in a controlled environment with almost no exposure to disagreeable environment conditions.
