About the Role We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the design and evolution of brokerage clearing and settlement systems supporting the Canadian securities market. This role sits at the intersection of capital markets operations, financial infrastructure, and fintech product development. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience with brokerage back-office platforms, clearing workflows, and industry-standard post-trade systems, combined with the ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams and external financial institutions. Key Responsibilities Own product strategy and roadmap for brokerage clearing and settlement platforms in the Canadian market Lead the design and enhancement of back-office brokerage systems, including trade lifecycle processing, reconciliation, settlement, and operational workflows Work directly with banks, clearing agencies, and market infrastructures to support post-trade integrations and operational processes Drive integrations with external entities such as custodians, clearinghouses, and settlement counterparties (e.g., CDS, DTCC, and banking partners) Translate business and operational requirements into clear product specifications for engineering teams Evaluate technical integration approaches and assess implementation cost, scalability, and operational impact Collaborate with engineering teams throughout the fintech SDLC lifecycle, from requirements definition to production release Improve operational efficiency, automation, and system resiliency across clearing and settlement processes Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Finance Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services, capital markets, or brokerage infrastructure Proven hands-on experience designing or owning brokerage back-office or post-trade systems Strong operational experience with industry-standard platforms such as Broadridge BPS or comparable brokerage processing systems Experience working at or closely with financial regulators, SROs, or clearing and settlement organizations (e.g., CIRO/IIROC, OSC, CDS, DTCC) Familiarity with Canadian regulatory frameworks governing brokerage operations and post-trade processing Extensive experience supporting clearing and settlement workflows involving banks, CDS, DTCC, or equivalent market infrastructures Solid understanding of fintech SDLC processes and cross-functional product delivery models Working knowledge of technical integration concepts, including: APIs and service-based integrations FIX Protocol connectivity Drop Copy mechanisms Event-driven architectures (e.g., Apache Kafka) Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs, implementation complexity, and business ROI Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Relevant professional designations such as CSC, CPA, and/or CFA are considered a strong asset Mandarin Chinese proficiency preferred; Cantonese is a strong plus CSC, CPA, and/or CFA certificate is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and performance-based incentives Opportunities for professional growth in a fast-growing fintech company Beautiful office space in mid-town Toronto with stunning city views Work in a company that's a global leader in online brokerage and wealth management How to Apply If you are a results-driven individual with a passion for operations and technology in the trading world, we want to hear from you.
