Purpose The Software Engineer II/Software Engineer helps the software and controls development efforts related to semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes that will define the future roadmaps of semiconductor logic, memory, heterogenous integration, and chip cooling.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts software development for novel semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Assists in researching and procurement of various equipment sub-systems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong software development skills in a variety of languages, including C, C++, Python, or some other combination of low-level and high-level languages.
  • Expertise with MATLAB, Simulink, or related control and simulation software.
  • Strong understanding of software structure, architectural design, and object-oriented programming, as well as build systems, revision control, and software lifecycle management.
  • Experience writing and working with software requirements and specifications.
  • Five years' experience in software engineering or other relevant disciplines.
  • Goal-oriented and ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a research or start-up environment.
  • Prior experience in software development for hardware control and instrumentation.
