Job Title: Lo cum Community Speech and Language Therap ist Banding : 6 Location : London Start: ASAP Duration : Full time Rate : £ 28 - £ 3 2 Working hours : Monday - Frid ay , 08:30 - 16:30 We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Locum Community Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in London. This role involves working with adults who have acquired neurological diagnoses, providing essential support for those with dysphagia and communication impairments. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving the quality of life for patients within the community, particularly those with eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties secondary to dementia. What will your responsibilities be : As a Locum Community Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of adults with acquired neurological conditions. You will provide expert assessment and intervention for dysphagia and communication impairments, ensuring individualized care plans are developed and implemented. Your role will involve conducting home visits across Lewisham, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care. You will also provide support and education to patients and their families, promoting safe and effective swallowing and communication strategies. Qualifications and Experiences: Degree in Speech and Language Therapy Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Experience working with adults with acquired neurological diagnoses Expertise in managing dysphagia and communication impairments Experience working with adults with eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties secondary to dementia Experience working within a multidisciplinary team in a community setting Ability to conduct home visits (ideally a car driver, but public transport is acceptable) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills Flexibility and adaptability to meet the demands of the role Why work with Pulse?
