INBOUND SUPPLY CHAIN & PORT LOGISTICS Manage inbound raw material logistics from Vancouver Port to Chilliwack alongside e 3PL provider. Coordinate drayage, customs clearance, container scheduling, and receiving capacity. Minimize freight congestion, container dwell time, and demurrage risk for inbound. Align inbound flows with production ramp-up and ASRS capacity. Adhere to standards set up by HQ for all above activities to maintain product quality and consistency. WAREHOUSE & ASRS OPERATIONS Operational ownership of the ASRS system following project handover. Work closely with engineering, IT, and vendors during system stabilization. Establish and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and escalation protocols. Ensure warehouse operations meet safety, productivity, and accuracy requirements. Define and manage business continuity plans for ASRS downtime scenarios. CROSS BORDER OUTBOUND LOGISTICS (CANADA - US) Own outbound finished goods distribution to U.S. customers (Arizona). Ensure compliant and accurate cross‑border customs documentation, including: Commercial invoices, Packing lists, HS codes, Country of Origin / USMCA, FDA prior notice (as applicable) Manage relationships with customs brokers, carriers, and freight forwarders. Proactively prevent border delays through documentation audits and KPI tracking Point person to escalate any regulatory related issues to HQ. SAP. WMS & SYSTEMS INTEGRATION Function as business owner for supply chain processes in SAP and WMS Partner with IT to ensure accurate master data, inventory management, and HU handling. Prevent inventory discrepancies through disciplined transaction controls. Support system testing, go‑live stabilization, and post‑go‑live optimization. INVENTORY PLANNING Establish inventory management strategy for a new plant with evolving demand. Ensure FEFO compliance in an automated warehouse environment. Implement cycle counting and inventory accuracy processes from day one. Balance service levels, space utilization, and working capital. Coordinate with finance as a main point person for year-end inventory reconciliation. TEAM LEADERSHIP & CAPABILITY BUILDING Build, lead, and develop supply chain and warehouse teams from the ground up. Design training programs for employees with limited ASRS exposure. Develop supervisors and identify key ASRS super users. Foster a safety‑first, disciplined, and accountable operating culture. SAFETY QUALITY & COMPLIANCE Ensure supply chain activities comply with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards as set by HQ. Support internal and external audits (food safety, customs, safety) Promote safe interactions between people, equipment, and automated systems. Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation. REGULATORY COMPLIANCE Ensure compliance with all applicable local, provincial, and federal regulations for the supply chain space. Maintain records and documentation required for regulatory compliance and audits. Perform an internal mock audit to test measures in place for compliance and sustainability. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Define and track ramp‑up KPIs (Inventory accuracy, Dock‑to‑stock time, and Safety metrics). Drive stabilization before cost or efficiency optimization. Identify and lead improvement initiatives once operations mature. Quality related KPI's like failure notices in general. Internal audit results from QA and corrective action implementation within 30 days. 8-12+ years of progressive experience in supply chain / logistics / warehouse management/3PL management. Experience in manufacturing or ingredient/food environments. Hands‑on experience working in SAP (ERP and EWM preferred) and WMS systems. Demonstrated experience with cross‑border Canada-U.S. logistics. Strong understanding of customs documentation and compliance. Experience supporting or leading operations in automated or ASRS environments. Proven ability to build and lead teams in startup or change environments. Greenfield or plant startup experience and direct involvement in project‑to‑operations handover preferred. Premix, food, ingredients, or regulated manufacturing background preferred. Exposure to high‑volume ports preferred. APICS / CSCP / PMP or similar certification preferred. Valid Class 5 Driver's license. The expected annual base salary range for this position is $137,000 to $160,000. The actual base salary for this position will depend on various factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, skills, experience and work location.
