About the role

Job Summary: The Skating School Instructor is responsible for providing skating instruction to students following the Learn to Skate USA program. Essential Responsibilities: Responsible for reporting to all scheduled classes and having lesson plans prepared prior to class start. Follows Learn to Skate Program and Learn to Play Program requirements and formats. Keeps accurate attendance records on all students. Notifies supervisor if any accidents occur and brings the student to the first aid room. Completes periodic evaluations for students to ensure proper level assignment. Answers parent questions and performs equipment checks as requested. Assumes additional responsibilities as required. Job Requirements: Learn to Skate USA membership required Minimum Level of Education Required None Required; Professional Skating Instructor continuing education preferred Minimum Level of Experience Required Coaching experience preferred, but not required Working Conditions Ability to lift 50-75 pounds Additional Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Strong customer service skills This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $32.00.
