The Role At A Glance We are looking for an HR Business Partner to support our team and act as a trusted HR partner to our managers and staff. In this role, you will be responsible for all HR functions, with a strong emphasis on employee relations, manager coaching, performance management, sensitive situations, change management, and HR operational efficiency. You will work in close collaboration with our HR Manager, to whom you will report directly, while collaborating closely with a small team. We are looking for someone who can be highly hands-on, highly advisory, and structured enough to drive projects forward autonomously. This is a key role for someone who loves being close to the business, influencing managers, handling concrete human challenges, and contributing to building a solid HR function within a growing environment! Your Role In Action Primary HR Partner: Act as the main HR contact for a portfolio of multiple teams, aligning HR practices with business needs. Manager Coaching: Provide daily coaching to managers on topics such as performance management, delivering difficult feedback, team dynamics, engagement, accountability, and conflict resolution. Employee Relations: Take full ownership of employee relations cases from end to end: analysis, recommendations, documentation, meetings, action plans, and follow-ups. Advisory Support: Advise managers on the best approaches for disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans (PIPs), internal investigations, sensitive situation management, and crisis management. HR Cycles: Support and drive core HR cycles for your scope: performance reviews, calibrations, salary reviews, internal mobility, onboarding, offboarding, etc. Change Management: Guide managers through organizational change, role clarifications, team restructurings, or scope adjustments. Team Supervision: Collaborate with a small HR team of 1 to 2 people (Advisor / Coordinator), ensuring quality, rigor, prioritization, and development. Continuous Improvement: Partner with our HR Manager on cross-functional issues, team priorities, continuous improvement of practices, and structuring the HR function. Operational Excellence: Ensure the proper execution of HR operations within your scope, including follow-ups, documentation, coordination, and quality of service. What You're Bringing With You Around 7 to 9 years of HR experience, with significant experience in employee relations, manager coaching, and an advisory capacity. Experience in an HRBP, Senior HR Advisor, People Partner, or equivalent role. Demonstrated ability to manage an HR scope with autonomy, judgment, and credibility. Very strong advisory posture: Capable of challenging, recommending, influencing, and guiding with tact and confidence. Excellent command of employment laws and practices, particularly in Quebec, with a good understanding of the Canadian and ideally North American context. Proven experience managing sensitive situations, performance, disciplinary actions, conflicts, internal investigations, or complex cases.
