Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and execute trades for intermediate feedstocks/products (VGO, Decant Oil, LCO, Hydrotreater Feedstocks, & VTBs) across downstream assets.
  • Maintain existing business and develop new opportunities across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly assessments within the downstream value chain, evaluating optimization potential and formulating strategies to enhance value capture.
  • Evaluate stream specifications via refinery and third-party testing, recognizing that the majority of intermediate feedstocks/products are not "fungible," with specifications that can vary and impact profitability and market optionality.
  • Partner with key organizations, including refinery personnel, refinery optimization, logistics, business development, credit, and accounting.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the US.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Economics, or a technical diploma in a related field.
  • 8+ years of related experience including experience in price risk management, logistics, operations accounting, chemistry, technical sales, or refining, with a practical understanding of downstream economics and commodity pricing (experience across multiple areas preferred).
