Thank you for your interest in Oklo! We are searching for a Facility Operations Specialist to join our team. This position will be on-site in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Position Description Oklo Isotopes is building scalable U.S. radioisotope production capabilities in facilities dedicated to producing essential isotopes for healthcare, space, industry, research, and defense applications. In February 2026, Oklo's Idaho Radioisotopes Laboratory (IRL) located in Idaho Falls received its Material Possession License from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to take a leading role in the manufacturing and distribution of beneficial radioisotopes in the US. The Facility Operations Specialist is a cross-functional, onsite role that provides essential support to daily facility operations. This position supports safe and reliable operations by performing a broad range of duties across operations, maintenance, facility upgrades, radiological protection, security, and administrative functions. The Facility Operations Specialist serves as a flexible resource supporting operators and facility management, enabling efficient execution of routine activities and timely response to emergent needs. Key responsibilities include supporting auxiliary operations; executing assigned operational and maintenance tasks; and assisting with radiological protection activities, including radiological surveys, access control, and contamination monitoring, as trained. The role also includes performing designated security functions in accordance with site procedures. Additional responsibilities include supporting equipment and material receipt, inventory accountability, equipment installation and setup, and contractor oversight activities supporting operations (e.g., clean room installations, HVAC upgrades, and evacuation zone layout activities). Administrative responsibilities include procedure use support, recordkeeping, work coordination, and logistics assistance. The Facility Operations Specialist may also be qualified to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts) and support industrial safety programs, hazard controls, and other site safety functions as required. Specific responsibilities may include: Provide auxiliary operations support to daily facility activities in accordance with approved procedures. Support during routine operation evolutions and activities, as well as maintenance coordination and implementation. Perform radiological protection support functions as trained, including radiological surveys, access control, contamination monitoring, and radiation protection documentation support. Execute designated security functions, including access control, monitoring, and compliance with site security requirements. Perform administrative and programmatic support duties, including recordkeeping, procedure use support, work tracking, and coordination of onsite activities. Operate material handling and support equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes, lifts, carts) in accordance with training and safety requirements. Support industrial safety programs, hazard controls, and housekeeping to maintain a safe work environment. Assist with logistics, material receipt, staging, storage and accountability, and facility readiness activities. Support with facility upgrades such as equipment installation and setup, confinement and HVAC setup and/or oversight of third parties supporting with these activities. Respond to abnormal or emergent conditions in support roles as directed by operations leadership. Maintain qualifications, training, and certifications required to support assigned functions.
