Your Mission As an Associate Anti-Financial Crime Compliance - Business Advisory at Bitpanda, you will support the development and continuous improvement of structural features within the AFC Compliance program. You will help identify gaps, test existing and newly developed controls, report risk indicators and support initiatives that strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of the compliance framework. Working closely with Risk, Product, Operations and Technology teams, you will contribute to building scalable, risk-based AFC solutions in line with regulatory expectations across multiple jurisdictions..
Responsibilities
- Execute periodic controls and assist with the testing and validation of AFC-related features and developments, including documenting outcomes, identifying issues, and supporting implementation cycles in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Support the identification, assessment, and mapping of gaps within AFC compliance processes, systems, and controls by analysing workflows, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.
- Raise, track, and follow up on remediation actions, helping ensure findings are addressed in a timely manner and appropriately documented.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (including Product, Engineering and Operations) to support requirement definition, testing activities, and the maintenance of AFC program documentation
- Assist in monitoring regulatory developments and contribute to the implementation of AFC compliance enhancements where required.
Requirements
- Educational Background: You hold a university degree in Law, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field, providing a solid foundation in regulatory compliance, risk management, financial crime prevention, or data analytics.
- Language Proficiency: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Professional proficiency in German is considered a strong asset.
