About the role

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne offers the opportunity to work for one of Australia's leading hospitals in physician education and training. As a BPT2 at SVHM, you will be providing supervised effective day-to-day care for clinical management of ambulatory and admitted patients, including but not limited to assessment, clinical management and discharge planning. These positions will be suitable for applicants who have successfully completed BPT1 training and intend to progress though BPT2 and BPT3. There are a variety of subspecialty rotations available at BPT2 level as well as rotations in general medicine. During the year trainees may be seconded to work in other hospitals that form part the Compass 6 Physician training consortium. Successful candidates will commence their post with SVHM on Monday 01 February 2027 - Sunday, 06 February 2028. (potential for longer term contract) Classifications for this position will range from HM13 - HM18 ($98,224.88 - $149,885.84) Pro rata for part-time

Requirements

  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated experience applying medical knowledge towards sound clinical diagnosis, investigation and treatment of patients
  • Demonstrated effective communication with patients, relatives, staff and colleagues
  • Knowledge and ongoing adherence to hospital safety policies
  • Current enrolment in the RACP Prep programme at BPT1 level
