Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of management experience
• Experience managing and developing high performance teams
• Experience working with engineering and product teams to define a product and bring it to market
• Experience driving technical strategy and identifying high-impact engineering investments
• Experience leading cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, and stakeholder groups
• Demonstrated ability to guide technical solution design and architecture decisions
• Experience with capacity planning and delivery estimation using team velocity metrics
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
• Experience with networking fundamentals
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical status to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience in designing, implementing and shipping new products
• Experience in hiring, mentoring and growing new engineers and managers
• Experience with C, Python and Golang programming languages
• Experience with cloud-managed home and business networks
• Familiarity with wireless protocols
• Ability to quickly ramp up on the essentials of new technical areas

The Connectivity team at eero is looking for an experienced engineering manager to lead a team of wireless networking engineers. This team's charter is to develop wireless and wired networking features to delight eero's consumer and business customers. The role requires a manager who is a technical leader, who has deep understanding of embedded and business networking uses cases and solutions, who can drive projects from Product and ideation, through design, implementation, deployment, and all the way to field monitoring and iterative improvements in performance and customer experience; a team player, who works well with peers of all levels, who is comfortable and effective in an uncertain, fast-moving environment.
