Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operations lead for Workday Financials, supporting both business-as-usual (BAU) activities and project-based initiatives across Finance modules.
• Provide hands-on support and configuration across Workday Core Financials, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Procurement, and Expenses.
• Manage operational support activities including issue resolution, intake triage, system monitoring, testing coordination, and release support.
• Lead and support enhancements, process improvements, automation initiatives, and system optimization efforts across Financials operations.
• Partner closely with Finance stakeholders, HRIS, Product, and regional teams to translate operational requirements into scalable and sustainable solutions.
• Support end-to-end delivery of system changes from requirements gathering, impact assessment, testing coordination, deployment support, and post-production validation.
• Maintain data integrity, governance, security alignment, and operational compliance through regular audits and process reviews.
• Support reporting requirements, reconciliations, and operational analytics through Workday reports and dashboards.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, standard procedures, user guides, and knowledge articles.
• Provide user support, training, and guidance to business users and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with HCM Operations teams and provide cross-functional backup support for HCM-related operational activities and deployments as needed.
• Support production assurance, release readiness validation, and cross-functional impact assessments prior to and after deployments.
• Participate in regional and global operational discussions to ensure alignment on support processes, priorities, and governance standards.

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of Workday experience with strong exposure to Workday Financials operations and support
• Strong hands-on configuration experience across Workday Financials modules such as GL, AP, AR, Procurement, and Expenses
• Experience supporting both BAU operations and project implementations/enhancements
• Good understanding of accounting processes, operational controls, and financial systems
• Experience handling incidents, service requests, testing coordination, and release support in a production environment
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities with attention to detail
• Experience creating reports, dashboards, and operational metrics
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Finance, HRIS, Product, and Technology teams
• Willingness and flexibility to provide backup support across HCM operational areas as business needs require
• Exposure to Workday HCM processes and support operations
• Experience with Workday integrations, Prism, or Adaptive Planning
• Experience in regional or global support environments
• Experience in Workday production support and governance processes
• Experience supporting full lifecycle Workday Financials implementations
• Workday Pro certifications in Financials o
