Purpose Statement The Associate Director of the Procurement Management Office (PMO) supports the Vice President of Procurement Strategy and Capabilities (PSC), the PSC Leadership Team and the Procurement Leadership Team (PLT) in driving the implementation of key cross-functional strategic priorities across Procurement. This role helps coordinate the PSC Operating Model, supports governance and budget processes, and partners with stakeholders to advance change, culture, communications, and strategic initiatives aligned with Procurement's transformation goals. The position requires strong collaboration, organization, and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize inputs, support alignment, and execute in a complex matrixed environment. Major Responsibilities Partner with the PSC LT and PLT to coordinate and advance strategic initiatives across Procurement, including transformation planning, support for the AbbVie strategic roadmap (META), Procurement-wide meetings and events, key strategic and transformational programs, and talent/ways-of-working initiatives. Support the implementation of strategic transformation efforts by translating priorities into actionable plans and outcomes Apply analytical and structured thinking to support resolution of key Procurement questions, incorporating stakeholder input and helping develop improved planning and decision-making frameworks. Coordinate governance forums within Procurement, including the PSC LT, PLT and Procurement Leadership Forum (PLF), and help pilot and support adoption of new initiatives and strategies applied across pillars. Support oversight of the PSC and overall Procurement Operating Model. Serve as a key lead for change and culture efforts within Procurement, aligned to transformation objectives. Facilitate strategic communications across PSC in partnership with Procurement and Corporate Communications. Build strong working relationships across Procurement and matrix partners to ensure effective execution and alignment. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field. Master's degree is preferred. In lieu of a degree, 10 or more years of relevant experience may suffice. Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related business or operations function. Experience supporting complex, cross-functional initiatives within a matrixed organization. Demonstrated ability to coordinate global or enterprise-level processes and stakeholder groups. Experience supporting portfolio management, finance, budgeting, risk management, or compliance activities preferred. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Proven ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across teams. Experience in Procurement, commercial operations, consulting, or similar complex business environments preferred.
