The Director, Product Management will build products, programs and services from existing ideas as well as be responsible for developing new ideas based on market research, industry experience and contact with customers and prospects. Incumbent must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. Incumbent must also spend time in the market to understand its problems and find innovative solutions for it. This position will be dedicated to improving workflows and automation and must have experience in focusing on designing, building, and improving systems that automate business processes and streamline workflows, either for internal teams or external customers. Their core mission is to reduce manual work, increase efficiency, and ensure seamless integration between tools, systems, and teams. Experience with Appian's platform or low-code, no-code solutions is required. Incumbent must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. They must work with delivery team counterparts to define product release requirements as well as with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. Incumbent will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for Healthesystems' product offering, occasionally working with sales and key customers. Key Responsibilities: "To simplify complexities for each customer." Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying and conducting the research needed to obtain market information. Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product opportunities by understanding the customer's problem and creating solutions and/or new product ideas to solve. Communicates scope with Product Owner and team members and ensures alignment throughout the opportunity. Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products. Identify and create solutions to fill these gaps. Works with leaders and sales team to develop product strategies and vision. Communicate these strategies within the organization. Assesses product market data and ideas by interacting with customers, assessing industry trends, and evaluating prospect data and interactions. Provide sales support, including responses to RFPs from prospective customers. Provide guidance and support for new customer implementations and customer projects. Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, marketing, and delivery teams. Prioritizing features, creating product roadmaps, and managing product backlogs. Works with Operations and Product Delivery teams to ensure operational requirements are implemented. Maintains a high level of understanding of the product performance measures or key drivers. Maintains product expertise allowing detailed conversations regarding functionality and results achieved using product features. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by working with the product delivery teams, attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Provides thought leadership in the design of new processes and interactions to enhance the overall customer experience. Leadership/Supervisory Responsibilities: May supervise up to 5 direct reports. Product Management will provide internal leadership and a focused product vision to the development team and the entire organization. This individual needs to inspire others to follow his/her vision, while remaining non-dictatorial. The individual needs to be confident and assertive regarding final product decisions as Product Management has the primary responsibility for the success or failure of the product. This individual will be collaborative and act as a sponge to absorb ideas from any and all areas of the company and customers, filtering these ideas using the product strategy so the output is a clear focused vision to the development teams and the organization.
