We are currently seeking a confident communicator to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract basis as a Commodity Buyer (Spondon/Hybrid) As a Commodity Buyer, you will manage and deliver projects across multiple commodity categories. You'll oversee supplier quotations, lead pricing negotiations, benchmark costs, and support the delivery of commercial improvements across the supply base. You'll build strong supplier and stakeholder relationships, identify cost‑reduction opportunities, and work proactively to provide a high‑quality service in a fast‑moving environment. About You You will bring a solution‑focused mindset, combining resilience with strong analytical skills. Confident working with data, you can gather and interpret information in Excel to support clear decision‑making. As a proactive self‑starter, you build and maintain effective cross‑functional relationships both internally and externally, working collaboratively to drive positive outcomes. We are looking for individuals with at least two years' experience in purchasing, we are particularly interested in those who have worked in the aerospace, automotive or medical industries. Good knowledge of the full MS Office package is also expected. Experience conducting supplier or internal audits is desirable but not essential.
