Based on Adjunct Pay Scale Compensation Type:Salary Employment Type:Adjunct/Part Time Faculty (Fixed Term) Scheduled Weekly Hours:2.25 Grade:Department:InstructionPosition SummaryAdhere to the Respiratory Care Clinical Instructor responsibilities as outlined in the Respiratory Clinical Educator Handbook.Promote a safe learning community environment;Maintain professional competence.Provide the most effective instruction possible to ensure that the educational needs of students are met and that students achieve specified learning objectives.Support the mission, values and guiding principles of SFCC , the Division of Science, Health, Engineering and Math and the Respiratory Care Program.Teach assigned courses, day or evening, following the official syllabi, course outlines and using approved textbooks and other learning materials.Meet all classes regularly and on time, as scheduled, and for their full duration.Evaluate student performance (attainment of learning objectives and competencies) and assign grades.Maintain accurate student records using program data management systemsParticipate in the respiratory care program's review of courses and schedules.Assist in curriculum development.Participate in preparation/revision of the educational program by evaluating course syllabi and content, course outlines, student needs, instructional materials/methods/resources and current respiratory care practice.Make recommendations for improvement to Respiratory Therapy Program Director and Director of Clinical Education.Make arrangements with the Clinical Educational Coordinator or Director for covering classes when scheduling an absence.Meet all deadlines in submitting grades or other required information on students.Attend all faculty meetings, graduate pinning exercises in December, graduation exercises in May and other convocations as appropriate.Preforms other related duties as assigned.Health insuranceVision insurance
