Position Overview Responsible for overall technical delivery of monthly commissions reports including Business Intelligence dashboards - from development, merging objects from other developers, publishing to the server and ensuring connectivity with data sources.
Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements sessions to understand business needs and come up with recommendations of Business Intelligence features and visualizations that can best achieve the needs of the business.
- Provide input and assist in designing reporting schemas that will be used in the dashboard - based on understanding of metrics and dimensions expected in report specification.
- Create Data Sources in Business Intelligence using best practices irrespective of the source system, and the data models.
- Develop dashboards of varying complexity making sure functionality is aligned with business requirements.
- Responsible for overall dashboard, merging worksheets and dashboards from other members of the team, and publishing to the servers.
- Test and implement Business Intelligence upgrades.
- Responsible for validating dashboards - data as well as functionality.
- Research new features and implement to dashboards.
- professional / TECHnical experience:
- At least 3 years of experience working in Business Intelligence
- Experience with Microsoft BI tools
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Alteryx
- Work with large data sets including variance analysis and reporting
- Advanced knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL
- Good understanding of dimensional modeling (star schemas)
- Ability to recommend visualization that is appropriate for the type of analysis that the business users will perform
- Ability to accurately document and communicate reporting requirements.
- Healthcare data experience a plus.
- education:
- Bachelor's Degree mandatory in business, healthcare, or technology preferred.
