About the role

Our B2B department, established at the beginning of 2024, is on the brink of significant growth. Our mission is clear: to reach roughly $458k in MRR by the end of the first semester of 2026 and provide a stellar customer experience with limited pain on our operations. We are creating a dedicated Partnerships & Integrations squad within B2B. This team will focus on building and scaling third-party integrations and commercial partnerships that expand CookUnity distribution and unlock new revenue channels (e.g., our Airbnb integration, and future opportunities with platforms like Instacart, Amex, and others). Help integrate CookUnity with third-party platforms (marketplaces, loyalty programs, travel partners, payments/benefits providers, etc.) by designing and implementing robust, scalable, and reusable integration patterns. Help shape the future of B2B expansion and product distribution by working directly with the Head of B2B and cross-functional stakeholders. Learn the ins and outs of a complex, operationally heavy business and simplify/automate partner workflows through technology. Oversee projects across a full-stack environment, with challenges on the front-end, backend, and mobile experience-often involving external partner systems, APIs, and technical constraints. Be hands-on and build a world-class partner-enabled customer experience, delivering solutions that can be used at scale quickly and safely. Maintain/scale our AWS infrastructure supporting integrations, reliability, observability, and secure data exchange with partners. Our Current Stack: Languages: Java, JavaScript, Typescript, Frameworks: ReactJS, NestJS Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, MySQL Agile Methodology Service Oriented Architecture

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that partner integrations and platform components are scalable, reliable, secure, and efficient.
  • Identify and address technical debt and performance bottlenecks, especially in integration flows and high-volume partner traffic scenarios.
  • Manage and maintain databases, ensuring they are optimized for performance and reliability across integration-related workloads.
  • Own the design and implementation of features within our JavaScript stack that power partner experiences and drive meaningful business impact.
  • Build and evolve integration foundations: API design, authentication/authorization, webhooks/events, idempotency, retries, monitoring/alerting, and partner-facing documentation where needed.
  • Iterate on new and existing features to improve user experience, operational efficiency, and partner success metrics.
  • Actively contribute to strong software architecture, best practices, and long-term technical direction-prioritizing reusable components and patterns that accelerate future partnerships.
  • Improve the maturity of our technical stack with engineering best practices (testing, CI/CD, code quality, reliability).
  • Participate in the code review process and help mentor other engineers.
  • Contribute technically by being a hands-on coder, removing roadblocks, and repairing technical issues across integration flows.
  • Partner closely with Product, Growth, Marketing, Customer Experience, and external stakeholders; communicate effectively with third-party integration teams (often in English) to unblock execution and ensure alignment.
  • Improve uptime & support the on-call rotation that helps the business run 24/7.
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • You have experience designing and building cloud architecture, backends, middle ends, web apps-end-to-end delivery ownership.
  • Experience with NodeJS, NestJS, AWS, and React.
  • Experience with integrations: consuming and designing REST APIs, handling authentication (e.g., OAuth/API keys), working with webhooks/events, and building resilient workflows.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with automated testing and continuous integration and deployment.
  • You understand how to design, implement, and maintain backend services that will be used by internal teams and external partners.
  • You have an advanced level of English (written and spoken), comfortable collaborating with international stakeholders and partner engineering teams.
  • Fluency with AI engineering
