About the role
Our client (international MNC) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contracts Manager to oversee the full spectrum of contract administration for large-scale civil and construction projects, including potentially mixed-use, industrial and/or commercial developments. Responsibilities
- Manage all pre- and post-contract administration activities for construction projects.
- Review, negotiate, interpret and administer contracts, subcontracts, consultancy agreements, and othercontractual documents.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, and applicable regulations.
- Prepare, evaluate and manage tender documentation, contract variations, extension of time (EOT) claims, and cost claims.
- Identify, assess and mitigate contractual and commercial risks throughout project execution.
- Lead negotiations and resolve contractual disputes with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement and Legal teams to ensure contractual compliance and commercial success.
- Monitor project costs, contractual milestones and payment processes to maximise project profitability.
- Provide contractual advice and guidance to project teams on contract interpretation and risk management.
- Maintain accurate records of contractual correspondence, claims and project documentation.
- Support senior management with commercial reporting, contract strategies and project performance reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree - Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Law, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in contract management within the civil engineering or construction industry.
- Proven experience managing contracts for large-scale infrastructure, mixed-use, commercial or building construction projects in Singapore.
- Strong knowledge of standard forms of construction contracts (e.g. PSSCOC, SIA, FIDIC or equivalent).
- Good understanding of Singapore construction regulations and industry practices.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with contract management software is an advantage.
