Gaming Content & SEO Writer

About the role

Kinetic Hosting is looking for a Gaming Content & SEO Writer to help us improve and grow the content across our website. We already have pages for game server hosting, modpack hosting, competitor comparisons, and support guides. Your job will be to make those pages clearer, more useful, more accurate, and better optimised for search. This role is not about pumping out generic blog posts. We want content that feels like it was written by someone who understands game servers, modpacks, performance issues, and what customers are actually trying to do. You'll be writing for people hosting Minecraft servers, modded servers, plugin-based communities, survival games, and other multiplayer games. Some readers will be technical. Many will not be. A big part of the job is explaining things in a way that is useful without making people feel lost.

Responsibilities

• Write and improve modpack hosting pages, game server hosting pages, and comparison pages
• Create useful help articles for common hosting, modpack, plugin, and server setup questions
• Refresh existing pages so they stay accurate, current, and competitive
• Research keywords, competitors, and search intent around game server hosting
• Write content that explains Kinetic's features, pricing, hardware, panel tools, and support clearly
• Turn product features into useful website content, guides, FAQs, and landing page sections
• Work with the team to understand new games, modpacks, panel features, and customer pain points
• Help build internal links between guides, modpack pages, game pages, and product pages
• Keep content sounding human, practical, and specific rather than generic or AI-written
• Requirements Strong written English
• Good understanding of SEO basics, including keywords, search intent, headings, meta titles, and internal linking
• Able to write clear, useful content for both technical and non-technical readers
• Comfortable researching games, modpacks, plugins, competitors, and hosting topics
• Able to explain technical topics in a simple and accurate way
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work independently and keep content organised
• Comfortable taking feedback and updating existing content
• Nice to have Experience with Minecraft servers, modpacks, plugins, or server hosting
• Experience writing SEO content for tech, gaming, SaaS, or hosting companies
• Familiarity with tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, or similar
• Basic understanding of Linux, game server panels, FTP/SFTP, backups, RAM usage, and server performance
• Experience writing comparison pages or product landing pages
• An interest in games and online communities

Help Kinetic Hosting grow by writing useful, human-feeling content for game server owners, modded Minecraft players, and people comparing hosting providers. You'll work on modpack pages, game hosting pages, help guides, comparison pages, and SEO content that explains why Kinetic is different.
