About the Position: The incumbent serves as a Strategy and Policy Analyst in HQ USAFRICOM - J4 Logistics Support . Provides strategic posture planning across forces, footprints, agreements, crisis response, air operations, security cooperation, and theater logistics. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level which includes: 1) interpreting and translating national or strategic guidance to direct operational planning; 2) developing theater-level plans, orders, or campaign assessments; AND 3) coordinating military posture requirements (e.g., forces, footprints, agreements, or access locations). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications Partnering Planning and Evaluating Strategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
