About the role

We are seeking a Visual Merchandising Specialist to join our Retail Strategy team at Nex. As a Visual Merchandising Specialist, you will help create a world class retail presence across brick and mortar stores globally. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing physical merchandising strategies to maintain Nex Playground's visibility and sales initiatives at key retail partners. You will partner closely with Supply Chain, Developer Experience, Design and external partners to manage the upkeep of our in-store retail fixtures. The position requires forward planning, strong communication capabilities, and ability to work cross functionally with teams in multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain best practices for in-store merchandising , including fixture placement, planograms, display compliance, and security measures (e.g., tethers, alarms, and loss prevention strategies).
  • Track and manage project timelines, workback schedules, and deliverables to ensure on-time execution.
  • Help manage the execution of merchandising strategies to optimize Nex Playground's presence at retailers, warehouse clubs and other key partners.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including RFQs/RFPs, budget processing, and purchase orders needed for fixture maintenance and refreshes.
  • Conduct research on display effectiveness to drive the evolution of merchandising strategies and interactive demo experience.
  • Analyze retail performance metrics and use data-driven insights to refine merchandising strategies and increase brand awareness.
  • Effectively communicate project updates, risks, and timelines to cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Propose, design, and implement process improvements for the fixture database and store list maintenance.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in retail merchandising, e-commerce merchandising, or related fields, preferably in consumer electronics, gaming, or interactive entertainment.
  • Strong understanding of shopper behavior, retail merchandising execution.
  • Experience with category management, buyer relations, and retail operations with major retailers and warehouse clubs.
  • Familiarity with global retail guidelines and execution processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex merchandising projects , balancing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with internal teams and external retail partners.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
